Terms of Use

Who may use Lumi

• You must be an adult (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) to accept these Terms, sign in, or buy a subscription.
• You accept these Terms on behalf of the children who use Lumi on your devices, and you are responsible for their use of it.
• Children should use Lumi with a guardian's knowledge. Guardian mode, purchases, and account settings are for guardians only.
• Tutors may use Lumi with the children they teach, provided they have the consent of those children's parents or guardians.

What Lumi is

Lumi offers short educational mini games, progress tracking, and play suggestions. Progress, skill levels, and suggestions are meant to encourage learning; they are not a professional, medical, or psychological assessment of a child.

Your account

• Lumi can be played without an account. Signing in with Google Play Games is optional and lets you back up children's progress, use it on several devices, and use a subscription.
• If the device is already signed in to Google Play Games, Lumi may sign in automatically. You can sign out or delete your account at any time in guardian mode.
• Keep your device and Google account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Free version and ads

The free version is supported by ads. Ads are child-directed, limited to a G rating, not personalized, and never shown during a game. Some features, such as certain games or the number of child profiles, may be limited in the free version.

Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play using your Google account. The price, billing period, and any free trial are shown in Google Play before you confirm.
• Benefits depend on the plan and are described in the app when you subscribe, for example no ads, premium games, more child profiles, and the sticker collection.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions); you keep the benefits until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, except where the law gives you other rights.
• Deleting your Lumi account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play.
• We may change prices or plans for future billing periods. Google Play will notify you of price changes as its rules require, and you can cancel before the change applies.
• A subscription is linked to the Lumi account that bought or restored it, for use by the children of that account.

Children's information

You decide what goes into a child profile. Use a nickname if you prefer, and do not put sensitive information (such as health details, addresses, or phone numbers) in the notes. How we handle this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our content and your license

• Lumi, including its games, characters such as LUMI, stickers, artwork, sounds, and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law.
• We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Lumi on devices you own or control, for the children in your care, under these Terms.
• Stars, stickers, and other in-app rewards are part of the game. They have no money value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged.

What you may not do

• Copy, resell, rent, or redistribute the app or its content.
• Reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the app, its servers, or its network traffic, except where the law allows it.
• Get around ads, subscriptions, limits, or security features, or use another person's account or purchases.
• Use Lumi in a way that breaks the law, harms children, or disrupts the service for others.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Lumi and may add, change, or remove games and features. Online features such as sign-in, backup, subscriptions, sticker downloads, and ads need an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable; the games themselves keep working offline. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your device, network, or third-party services such as Google Play.

Ending your use

You can stop using Lumi at any time and delete your account in guardian mode, or by emailing [email protected] if you no longer have the app. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership and limits of liability, continue after your use ends.

Disclaimer

We work hard to make Lumi safe, accurate, and fun, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suit every child.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data that is not backed up, arising from your use of Lumi. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Lumi in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Google Play

Lumi is distributed through Google Play, and your use of Google Play, Google Play Games, and Google Play billing is also governed by Google's terms. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Lumi.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will first try to resolve any dispute with you informally; if that fails, the dispute will be settled by the competent courts in Indonesia, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Lumi after that, you accept the updated Terms.
